Rotating machinery vibration measurements: Best Practices and case study using Twise® Pad and Twise® Site technology

Plant availability and reliability is based on numerous of different aspects and covers many topics, rotating machinery and mechanical failure recognition are the most important subjects that can allow to reduce risks and serious accidents to people and critical assets.

Vibration measurements is one of the most important PdM technologies for monitoring and diagnosing mechanical faults, this predictive technology has evolved considerably in recent years thanks to the development of electronic devices and dedicated software.

In this context, the ability to choose the right vibration measurement technology is essential, many different topics must be evaluated:

- What are the characteristics that portable vibration measurements devices should have?

- When is it necessary to use online systems for vibration measurement? Wired or wireless?

Domenico Pascazio

Domenico Pascazio graduated from the Politecnico of Bari in mechanical engineering and joined ISE in 2008. He has held the position of Technical Services Engineer for several years in the Reliability & Maintenance Consulting and PdM & Condition Monitoring departments, gaining extensive experience in the area of maintenance management and predictive maintenance. He is currently Business Development Manager for the Milan office, and follows the technical-commercial aspects for the Northern Italian and foreign markets regarding the development of new opportunities and the consolidation of existing customers. Since 2023, Domenico Pascazio is officially a member of ISE board of directors.
