Optimization of oil replacement intervals in gearmotors
The oil replacement intervals in gearmotors and reducers today are based on the operating hours and operating temperature of the same. The presentation aims to delve into the application details, also considering speed, service factor, and service continuity. All while taking into account the distinction between the main types of oils used in power transmission, namely mineral and synthetic oils. The optimization of the oil replacement interval is estimated through a calculation formula resulting from Rossi's decade-long experience, which considers the combination of all these parameters and complements well with common methods of periodic oil analysis or the current oil quality sensor technology. The presentation is part of a sustainability perspective, aiming to reduce unjustified lubricant consumption that can still be used, while also saving costs as optimizing the oil filling benefits procurement and cost reduction.
