ABSTRACT
THE MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT PROCESS - AND THE ASSOCIATED INDICATORS
At the workshop you will be introduced to the European standards for maintenance processes and maintenance indicators which provides the platform for a trustworthy assessment and comparison process for your maintenance function.
You will be presented for a generic maintenance process and will be invited to a deep dive into the process for maintenance management.
The workshop is a response to the question of "which indicators to be applied to my maintenance processes?” The workshop will give the answer to the universal question.
Workshop content
The workshop will start with the fundamentals for the maintenance processes and the indicators to measure the effectiveness of the maintenance management process.
Based on a case study the workshop delegates will be asked to calculate the maintenance indicators and to discuss the results. The calculation and the discussions will be done in teams of 3 - 5 delegates.
The foundation of workshop is the Standards EN 17007 "Maintenance processes” and EN DS/EN 15341:2019+A1:2022 "Maintenance Key Performance Indicators”
Workshop purpose
The purpose of the workshop is to present the maintenance management process and the connected indicators and give the maintenance professionals an understanding of the process. This will help the maintenance managers to establish a set of indicators to measure the maintenance performance and to identify improvements in the maintenance process. The workshop will also be a starting point for a benchmarking exercise.

BIOS
Reinhard Korb is the Managing Director of the Asset and Maintenance Management consulting and training company Korb Consulting KG (www.korbconsulting.eu), which is part of the international MCP consulting network and shareholder of MCP Deutschland GmbH. Reinhard is a specialist in organizational development of engineering and maintenance organizations. He is working on cultural change, process and KPI implementation and maintenance work profile transformation. Before being in the consulting business for 15 years, Reinhard headed maintenance and engineering organizations in the pharmaceutical business. Beside consulting, Reinhard has facilitated public and inhouse training courses for many hundred delegates. Moreover, he is contributing to the EFNMS and the EMAC since 2006.
Tom Svantesson is the Managing Director of the consulting and training company TSMC (www.tsmc.dk), Tom is a specialist in maintenance management and improvement of production efficiency. Tom has more than 35 years’ experience in the maintenance business including organization, benchmarking, planning, and implementation of CMMS, Reliability Centred Maintenance, stores management and constraints management.
Tom is a skilled facilitator in maintenance and reliability training and the organization of the EFNMS workshops. Tom has trained and educated several hundred Maintenance and Reliability professionals in Maintenance and Reliability processes in the TSMC course program including candidates for Certified European Expert in Maintenance Management. He has also published several articles on maintenance and reliability and has issued several books on Maintenance and Reliability.
